Where is thousand steps beach

Pretty incredible, not much of a hike or a trail. It was beautiful, took a left after the stairs and explored the caves. The stairs were not that difficult, only steps. No dogs allowed. Caves to the left, tide pools to the right. It's not a true trail, just a normal long coastal beach walk, but still a cool beach. However, if you do return at a time when the caves are reopened, find them less than a mile on the left, walk through the cave, follow the trail on the right of the cliff that leads to a bridge, at the end of the bridge are man made pools to swim in that fill up with sea water and sea creatures.

The steps are rough to go back up but I loved this spot. The face was closed when I went. Loved the beach and the surf. There is a restroom at the bottom. The view is amazing and the steps We didn't get a chance to see the tide pools because I think we went in the wrong direction. We made a right instead of a left but we are definitely going back!! I recommend early week day to check out the cave and a good workout out at the stairs.

FREE PARKING , amazing place to go, beautiful clean absolutly loved the cave area and the tide pools off to the left side when you hit the bottom of the stairs always a pod of dolphins to watch by shore this is my favorite beach and worth the gas from LA best time to go is either early in the morning or around 2pm that's if your trying to get to the tide pools this is when low tide occurs.

Hard to find parking. Again, it may just be that I live in Hawaii. We really want to go back when we all have swimsuits and tevas to get into the cave! The tide pools were fun and the beach was beautiful! We were there an hour after low tide and we would have had have waded thigh deep to get into the cave.

It looked really cool though and we definitely want to go again! Absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend going down to the cave during low tide and exploring the pools. Very quiet and secluded. Use Navigator in the AllTrails app and join the other outdoor explorers who have completed this trail. Thousand Steps Beach easy Length 1. This area is only accessible during low tide.

Take your time, the stairs are very steep. The stairs are covered with trees and vines in a thick canopy.

At the bottom, the view opens to the beach and ocean straight ahead. To the right there is a few small beach houses and a shear cliff to the houses above.

To the left is a long stretch of beach with another shear cliff. These two cliffs capture the cove that makes Thousand Steps Beach.
